MoD partners industry for space technology : The Tribune India

The Indian Space Association (ISpA) today announced a partnership with the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) to promote manufacturing, indigenisation, technology and innovation in India’s defence-space sector through collaborative-participatory relationship between academia and industry.

ISpA suggests setting up Space Technology Parks to boost private sector – Kashmir Reader

New Delhi: The Indian Space Association (ISpA) on Wednesday suggested setting up Space Technology Parks, on the lines of IT Parks and industrial corridors, to give impetus to the country's nascent private space industry.

The concept paper flagged concerns on certain clauses of the draft Space Activities Bill that states that any intellectual property right developed, generated or created onboard a space object in outer space, shall be deemed to be the property of the central government.

FILE: The first made-in-Singapore commercial earth observation satellite was launched in December 2015.

The Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system, for instance, uses the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) technology to improve traffic management and transport planning, and provide real-time alerts to motorists on traffic information and charging locations.

NASA's CAPSTONE Spacecraft To Test Technologies After Recovery From Communications Issue

By NASA February 17, 2023 CAPSTONE over the lunar North Pole: After arrival at the Moon, CAPSTONE will begin its 6-month-long primary mission. The mission will validate a near rectilinear halo orbit's characteristics by demonstrating how to enter into and operate in the orbit.

Following a communications issue that began in late January, NASA's CAPSTONE – short for Cislunar Autonomous Positioning System Technology Operations and Navigation Experiment – is currently functioning well. Now the mission team is preparing for upcoming technology demonstration tests.
