The newfound asteroid 2023 FW13 circles the sun in sync with Earth, making it our planet's "quasi-moon.
The asteroid was first spotted on March 28 by scientists using the Pan-STARRS survey telescope , which snaps pictures of the night sky from its perch atop Haleakala, a dormant volcano on the Hawaiian Island of Maui.

By India Today Science Desk : A potentially hazardous asteroid will come close to Earth on Thursday in its orbit. The space rock, which has been classified Near Earth Object (NEOS), will have a safe flyby as it moves in its orbit around the Sun.
Dubbed 2012 KY3, the asteroid will come as close as 47,84,139 kilometers from the planet on its way around the Sun. The asteroid is between half a kilometer to just over a kilometer in size.
