The heart of the tech industry will soon be home to a new $2 billion research and education complex, but the focus is less to do with technology for use on Earth and more to do with everything that lies beyond our planet.
The Silicon Valley-based space science center is the brainchild of the University of California, Berkeley, which seeks to create a new place for space research, including offices, labs, classrooms and even retail space.
