Headlines:

A SpaceX rocket launch from the California coast is now scheduled for shortly before sunrise Sunday and could be visible from the Coachella Valley.

Officials at Vandenberg Space Force Base announced Saturday that the Falcon 9 launch is set for 5:29 a.m. Sunday.

If for some reason the launch doesn't happen then, a backup window is available on Monday, April 21 starting at 5:08 a.m., SpaceX said.

The launch will be carrying satellites for the National Reconnaissance Office, according to the publication Spaceflight Now .

If you're a festivalgoer and up really early — or, let's be realistic, still up from the night before — you might be able to see the launch from the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio.

Whether launches are visible from the Coachella Valley — and how clearly — depends on clouds, the time of day and other factors. So there are no guarantees.

But if you're at the fest and awake just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday, it's worth casting your eyes to the western skies.
