When Is The Next Starship Launch? SpaceX Prepares Rocket For Flight 10

Starship could be on the verge of flying again as SpaceX prepares to launch the enormous rocket on its next test demonstration from South Texas.

It's been weeks since the 400-foot spacecraft last got off the ground in May for an uncrewed flight that ended prematurely before SpaceX could attempt many of the company's most important objectives.

A fiery mishap in June then delayed the impending launch of Starship's tenth overall flight since 2023, known as Flight 10.

But finally, billionaire Elon Musk and the commercial spaceflight company he founded in 2002 have given signs that the next Starship launch could unfold before August is out.

Here's what to know about Starship, as well as SpaceX's plans for the spacecraft 's next test flight.

SpaceX recently conducted a "static fire" engine trial with the Starship spacecraft's upper stage by briefly igniting one of the vehicle's six Raptor engines, the company said Thursday, July 31, in a post on social media site X.

"Starship single-engine static fire demonstrating an in-space burn complete on Pad 1 at Starbase," SpaceX wrote in a post, which also shared two photos and a video of the test.
