The Alleged Russian Mobsters in Trump World’s Orbit: A Dirty Dozen

Some are newcomers to Trumpland, thanks to the tireless efforts of Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, whose legal reputation has swung pendulously from that of latter-day Eliot Ness to bug-eyed conspiracy theorist more at home with low-rent Ukrainian Capones. But many of these scrofulous figures are familiar from their prior appearances in the two-year-long Mueller investigation.

Since the late 1970s, when Donald J. Trump, the scion of a racist slumlord from Queens, washed ashore on the island of Manhattan desperate to put his name on everything and dip it all in gold, The Donald has surrounded himself with a certain track-suited species of clientele from Brighton Beach.

NASA Space Station On-Orbit Status 14 November 2019 - Spacewalk Tomorrow - SpaceRef

ESA (European Space Agency) Commander Luca Parmitano and NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan. Credit: NASA.

Parmitano and Morgan have spent dozens of hours training specifically for the AMS repair spacewalks. NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir will help Parmitano and Morgan suit up for the spacewalks and will maneuver the Canadarm2 robotic arm to help position the spacewalkers around the AMS repair worksite.

These spacewalks are considered the most complex of their kind since the Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions. The AMS originally was designed for a three-year mission and, unlike Hubble, was not designed to be serviced once in space. More than 20 unique tools were designed for the intricate repair work, which will include the cutting and splicing of eight cooling tubes to be connected to the new system, and reconnection of a myriad of power and data cables.

Space hotels could launch as early as 2021: photos - Business Insider

Space tourism is rapidly moving from the realm of science-fiction to reality — some developers have promised to launch hotels into Earth's orbit as early as 2021.

Designs for such in-orbit lodging vary: Some involve spacious inflatable habitats, others include condominiums, and one concept even promises villas in a rotating, wheel-shaped space station equipped with artificial gravity. Space tourists could one day get an immersive astronaut experience, be wined and dined with incredible views of the Earth, or even play zero-gravity games like Quidditch.

Secret Spaceplane Lands After 780 Days in Orbit - iHLS

The United States Air Force's X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle-5 (OTV-5) has recently touched down back on Earth. After spending 780 days floating in orbit, the unmanned spacecraft has successfully landed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Ever since the 90s NASA has been considering the idea of launching an unmanned spacecraft to orbit. The organization has been looking for a cheaper alternative to its Space Shuttle orbiter. An unmanned vehicle would need much less thrust, and therefore fuel, to reach orbit and since there is no manned crew onboard, the spacecraft can stay in orbit for much longer periods of time.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES: Silicon Valley pulls autos into its orbit -- Wednesday, October 23, 2019 --

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Jon So looked out the front windshield and, as so often happens, dropped his gaze to the phone in his lap. "Looking down!" said a woman's voice from nowhere.

He kept looking down. The car compartment reverberated with a sharp "ding-ding!" followed seconds later with the woman's voice, "Distracted!" as the cabin rang with dings.

So was never in danger; his car, an Audi Quattro, was parked and facing a wall at an office complex. So is the marketing manager of Nauto, which is one of many Silicon Valley startups that want to transform driving as we know it.
