Xfinity Basically gave Us E.T. The Extraterrestrial 2

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Xfinity gave the whole country a major shot of nostalgia. Watching it for the first time, I had several tears well up. I think it was just the happiness of going back to one of my favorite movies ever.

This time, we had a grown up Elliot, with his family, getting to see E.T. again. So yes, a four minute E.T. The Extraterrestrial 2 and I'm all about it.

It's so great to see Elliot's kids get to enjoy a flying bike ride in front of a full moon just like he did. Yeah, I'm the nostalgia homer when it comes to this commercial but it's so great. We basically got the long awaited sequel we've wanted and we all love it.

Archaeon prefers meteorites Cells of M. sedula rapidly colonize the meteoritic material, much faster than the minerals of terrestrial origin. "Meteorite-fitness seems to be more beneficial for this ancient microorganism than a diet on terrestrial mineral sources. NWA 1172 is a multimetallic material, which may provide much more trace metals to facilitate metabolic activity and microbial growth. Moreover, the porosity of NWA 1172 might also reflect the superior growth rate of M.

When a scientist confesses to meeting the extraterrestrials

Something remarkable happened this past weekend. So remarkable, in fact, that I wanted to share it with everyone (after receiving permission to do so). The story once again involves quantum physicist Deep Prasad. Regular readers will recall Deep from previous interviews I did with him about his quantum computing company ( ReactiveQ ) and his new venture where a group of professionals is attempting to hunt down more solid evidence about the UFOs the Navy has been talking about.

Giant Meteor Impacts Might Have Triggered Early Earth's Plate Tectonics - Universe Today

For the sake of their study, the international team considered looking beyond Earth for possible explanations of how tectonic activity began. As Craig O'Neill – the director of the Macquarie University Planetary Research Centre in Sydney, Australia and the lead author on the paper, said :

"We tend to think of the Earth as an isolated system, where only internal processes matter. Increasingly, though, we're seeing the effect of solar system dynamics on how the Earth behaves."

The 'golden age of astrophysics': will we find the galaxy's planets? | Metro News

Look up at the night sky and for each star you see, there's the possibility we might not be alone.

For the vast majority of human history, the only planets we knew about were the ones in our neighbourhood: the seven other planets that orbit our Sun.

* * *

If human history was condensed to 24 hours, these discoveries would have happened in the last second. It was only in 1995 when astronomers found that our solar system isn't unique.
