Here Are The Navy Pilot Reports From Encounters With Mysterious Aircraft Off The East Coast - The

The War Zone obtained the eight hazard reports, all of which are marked "Unclassified" and "For Official Use Only," via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Naval Safety Center. Seven of them involve F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and occurred at various times between 2013 and 2014 in a patch of airspace off the coast of Virginia and North Carolina known as the W-72 warning area.

The FOIA officer handling our request said that these were the only eight reports in the Web-Enabled Safety System (WESS) Aviation Mishap and Hazard Reporting System (WAMHRS) to deal with naval aviation encounters with unidentified objects, balloons, and any other similar objects anywhere. WAMHRS is a centralized computer database that is supposed to contain all such hazard and flight incident reports that Navy aviation units file with the Naval Safety Center.

What is Starlink and how do I know if I've seen it?

If you have seen bright trails of lights shooting across the sky recently, you may have been wondering whether it was a UFO you spotted, perhaps a meteor shower or a shooting star.

Right now, his company SpaceX has fired a couple of hundreds of these satellites into orbit, but, within the next few years, Musk has permission to launch another 12,000. He has also filed paperwork which would allow him to add another 30,000 satellites to the growing network.

Oregon’s seven-decade history of UFO sightings | kgw.com

PORTLAND, Ore. — If UFO sightings were IPAs, then Oregon would be…well, actually Oregon would be just about the same.

Last year, the website 24/7 Wall Street ranked Oregon 2nd in sightings of unidentified flying objects in the entire country. The website analyzed data between the years 2001 and 2015 and found there were more than 73 sightings per 100,000 people, and 3,013 sightings total.

I personally thought Florida would be in 1st place but, alas, it was all the way back in 23rd place. Mississippi came in last.

The five creepiest UFO sightings Scotland has ever seen | The Scotsman

All eyes were on Area 51 last weekend, the United States Air Force military testing ground located in the deserts of Nevada.

Conspiracy theorists say the site is home to wreckage from downed alien spaceships - with a plan to 'storm' the military base attracting throngs of visitors to the area.

And when it comes to high strangeness, these encounters give any Nessie sighting a run for its money.

The list has been compiled by top Glasgow attraction Inflata Nation, as they prepare to launch an 'Alien Takeover' themed event at their indoor inflatable theme park during the October half term.

Most UFO sightings by state from 2001-2015

Sightings of these alleged interstellar visitors to Earth have been chronicled throughout history. However, the mania for UFOs shifted into hyperdrive in 1947, when flying saucer enthusiasts believed the remains of an otherworldly spacecraft, and even the corpse of an alien, were discovered in Roswell, New Mexico. The U.S. government said in 1994 that the remains were debris from a neoprene balloon used in a top-secret government surveillance project.

Many people who report a UFO sighting have reported the object without the use of viewing apparatus such as a telescope . Weather, among other variables, can trick an observer into thinking he or she has seen something unusual. There are thousands of UFO sightings reported every year, including several made by airline pilots and astronauts . Many sightings are compiled by the National UFO Reporting Center, which disseminates what it calls credible UFO reports.

UFO sightings reported to RAF to be published for first time online

UFO sightings reported and recorded by the RAF are to be published online for the first time. The RAF took the decision to wind up its UFO unit in 2009, after concluding that in more than 50 years, no received report had ever disclosed any evidence of a potential threat.

Previously, records from the unit were given to the National Archives, often initially classified before being released after a specific number of years.

UFO-Shaped Lenticular Cloud Spotted Near Mt. Shasta – CBS Sacramento

WEED (CBS13) – That’s no moon – or a space station, for that matter. A peculiar cloud caught on camera near Mount Shasta has people talking.

Last week, the Shasta-Trinity National Forest posted a photo that featured a large glowing orb set against the picturesque backdrop of Mt. Shasta.

* * *

As it turns out, the orb was what’s known as a lenticular cloud – a stationary weather phenomenon that develops on the downwind side of mountains. Mt. Shasta commonly sees lenticular clouds during the winter, officials say.

'Wow, What Is That?' Navy Pilots Report Unexplained Flying Objects - The New York Times

WASHINGTON — The strange objects, one of them like a spinning top moving against the wind, appeared almost daily from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, high in the skies over the East Coast. Navy pilots reported to their superiors that the objects had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes, but that they could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.

In late 2014, a Super Hornet pilot had a near collision with one of the objects, and an official mishap report was filed. Some of the incidents were videotaped, including one taken by a plane's camera in early 2015 that shows an object zooming over the ocean waves as pilots question what they are watching.
