California and Florida Report Most UFO Sightings

FLORIDA — At least once or so a decade, a story about a new UFO sighting (or newly released documents about an old one) pops up on the mainstream media's radar. When that happens, it always seems to instantly reignite the popular culture's interest in unexplained aerial phenomena.

That renewed curiosity has continued. In June of this year, the Senate Intelligence Committee—chaired by Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio— included a provision in its annual authorization bill requiring various military and intelligence agencies to compile a detailed analysis of all of the other data on unexplained aerial phenomena. The analysis would be declassified and available to the public and must be completed within 180 days of the bill's passage.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force could be more than punch line | Tom Roeder | Military |

Five years since he graduated from the Air Force Academy, Capt. Alexander Boules has already won the school's highest award for airmanship.

Tom Roeder is the Gazette's senior military editor. In Colorado Springs since 2003, Tom covers seven military installations in Colorado, including five in the Pikes Peak region. His main job, though, is being dad to two great kids.

A Gazette investigation shows an increasing number of soldiers, including wounded combat veterans, are being kicked out of the service for misconduct, often with no benefits, as the Army downsizes after a decade of war.

Trump and Fox's Lou Dobbs discuss the nation's UFO situation | National | heraldmailmedia.com

Still reeling from an Axios interview that appeared Monday night on HBO, President Donald Trump went to his safe place Tuesday, calling into Lou Dobbs' show on Fox Business for a half-hour of flattery, softballs and rants about their enemies on the left.

The 74-year-old conspiracy theorists wrapped things up by getting on the same page when it comes to the pandemic-plagued nation's UFO situation.

"Your administration, you promised would be transparent and you have done your level best to do that despite the Deep State's efforts to bury everything about as deeply as they could," Dobbs said toward the end of Tuesday's segment. "But I have one question as we conclude here."

Peter Gilbert posted on the County Times Facebook page: "I saw something in the sky at about 10pm hovering over Stoney Lane, Middle Road, Shoreham. It had flashing lights on it moving erratically for about two minutes then disappeared."

Farewell to Pete Way, the debauched bassist with a frontman's swagger | Pop and rock | The

UFO, who had begun as a bluesy, slightly dull space rock band, were transformed when the wunderkind German guitarist Michael Schenker joined in 1973. Very quickly they shifted to a melodic hard rock, and by the late 70s they were a very distinctive group indeed, with Schenker's guitar lines intertwining with Paul Raymond's keyboards and Way's bass playing, which rarely took the least-resistance path of playing endless root notes.

The Navy Says UFOs Are Real. Are They Little Green People? Unlikely. : 1A : NPR

In late April, the Department of Defense released footage of Navy fighter pilots encountering something "unidentifiable." The black and white videos are grainy and show small objects flying across the in-flight cameras of Navy fighter pilots.

This footage had already been circulating on the internet. By releasing it, the Department of Defense confirmed the videos' authenticity —and that it didn't know what they showed.
