Corrections: July 25, 2020 - The New York Times
An article on Friday about a new Pentagon U.F.O. unit inaccurately rendered remarks attributed to Harry Reid, the retired Senate majority leader from Nevada. Mr. Reid said he believed that crashes of objects of unknown origin may have occurred and that retrieved materials should be studied; he did not say that crashes had occurred and that retrieved materials had been studied secretly for decades.
An article on Thursday about the 18th-century composer Joseph Boulogne, using information from a 1990 journal article, misidentified the Boulogne violin concerto that has similarities to a Mozart work. It is Op. 7, No. 1, not Op. 7, No. 2.
A More Accessible World - The New York Times
When Judy Heumann was growing up in the 1950s, the New York City school system barred her from attending school and instead gave her only two and a half hours a week of home instruction. Why? She was in a wheelchair, as a result of polio, and school administrators refused to accommodate her in a classroom.
Heumann grew up to become a leading advocate for disability rights. She helped organize a 1977 protest that occupied a federal building in San Francisco and focused national attention on discrimination against the disabled. After a long political fight, President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1990 — 30 years ago this Sunday.

FBI Files: UFO expert J.
Back when supposed UFO sightings were becoming common, two people in an Air Force control tower reported seeing an object resembling "a lighted upended automobile" that the Air Force later said it determined was an aircraft.
But J. Allen Hynek, a Chicago-born astronomer and Northwestern University professor who studied UFO reports for the Air Force, wasn't convinced.
