(CNN) No longer confined to territories here on Earth, Russia has now staked its claim on Venus , saying it is a "Russian planet."

Check Out How Big the Planets and the Moon Will be in Our Sky Over the Next Two Years - Universe
Everything in space is moving. Galaxies collide and merge, massive clouds of gas migrate, and asteroids, comets, and rogue planets zip around and between it all. And in our own Solar System, the planets follow their ancient orbits.
Now a new data visualization shows us just how much our view from Earth changes in two years, as the orbits of the planets change the distance between us and our neighbours.
The video comes from Dr. James O’Donoghue. He’s a planetary scientist, formerly of NASA and currently with JAXA. According to his website, he specializes “in ground-based astronomy of giant planet upper atmospheres, in particular Jupiter, Saturn and exoplanets.”
'Diamond planets' could exist in the universe, new research confirms - Business Insider
On Earth, diamonds are considered precious partly because they're fairly rare: The planet's diamond content is about .001%.

The researchers behind the finding, a team from Arizona State University and the University of Chicago, found that under high-heat, high-pressure conditions like those found inside the Earth, certain planets may be making vast quantities of diamonds beneath their surfaces. So much so, in fact that they're primarily made of the material.

How to see Uranus in the night sky (without a telescope) this week | Space
Just how many planets are visible without a telescope? Not including our own planet, most people will answer "five" (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn).
Those are the five brightest planets, but in reality, there is a sixth planet that can be glimpsed without the aid of either a telescope or binoculars.
That sixth planet is the planet Uranus . This week will be a fine time to try and seek it out, especially since it is now favorably placed for viewing in our late-evening sky and the bright moon is out of the way.

Carbon-rich alien planets could be made of diamonds | Space
With the right conditions like the presence of water heat and pressure, exoplanets with high concentrations of carbon could turn into diamonds, scientists found in a new study. These exoplanets could also form silica, an oxide of silicon that is found as quartz in nature, the researchers added

"These exoplanets are unlike anything in our solar system," lead author Harrison Allen-Sutter, a graduate associate at Arizona State University's School of Earth and Space Exploration, said in a statement .
