UTAH ( ABC4 ) — A strange discovery in a remote area of Utah has been captivating many over the last few days. The find is so odd that even the Utah Department of Public Safety made a tongue-in-cheek reference to its’ otherworldly possibilities.
While assisting the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in a count of bighorn sheep in southeastern Utah, the Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau spotted a metal monolith in a remote area of red rock.

UFO sightings: The top 5 states where the aliens are flying through
That's one way, anyway, to interpret the results from a new report on the states with the most unidentified flying object sightings per capita. Washington state topped that list, followed in order by Montana, Vermont, Alaska and Maine.

So much for Roswell, New Mexico, or the lonely Nevada desert. New Mexico came in 8th on the list; Nevada, 13th.
Meanwhile, the states with the fewest UFO sightings per capita — Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama -- are all down South.

'Wow, What Is That?' Navy Pilots Report Unexplained Flying Objects - The New York Times
WASHINGTON — The strange objects, one of them like a spinning top moving against the wind, appeared almost daily from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, high in the skies over the East Coast. Navy pilots reported to their superiors that the objects had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes, but that they could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.
In late 2014, a Super Hornet pilot had a near collision with one of the objects, and an official mishap report was filed. Some of the incidents were videotaped, including one taken by a plane's camera in early 2015 that shows an object zooming over the ocean waves as pilots question what they are watching.
Weird UFO-looking disk found on beach ...
The Palm Beach resident who found the object knew it wasn’t supposed to be there but had no idea what it was.
A plastic disc as tall as a man and strung with knotty ropes like jellyfish tentacles was found marooned on Palm Beach over the weekend after traversing the tropical Atlantic as a fugitive.
Despite its sea-battered state, the contraption discovered Saturday was a sophisticated version of a fish aggregating device — an apparatus used often in waters off West Africa to attract tuna.
Is this the UFO spotted in skies around Horsham? | West Sussex County Times
Andre Figueira has released footage of the puzzling phenomenon after a friend told him of reports of unidentified flying objects witnessed in Billingshurs, Barns Green, Warnham and Rudgwick.
The sightings have baffled all who have seen them, including 31-year-old Andre who says he has spotted them a couple of times this year and has taken a couple of videos.
"In one of the videos, I pulled out my phone a little too late, and the light just disappeared but in the other one, you can see various lights materialising then going down slightly and disappearing."
