The Media Diary column in The Australian is today reporting Channel 10 has signed off a new season of Celebrity Masterchef Australia. The commissioning of more Masterchef comes as the network looks to find something reliable it can use to prop up its schedule in Q4
The celebrity version of Masterchef last aired on Australian screens in 2009. Its return in 2021 comes after a Junior Masterchef version of the franchised bombed spectacularly in the ratings last year, while the current season is performing poorer than expected .

The Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force have got a combined budget blackhole of £17 billion, MPs have been told.
He said: "It's down to him (Ben Wallace) to deliver the Prime Minister's 10,000 jobs every year. Yet since he's been Defence Secretary, the black hole in the budget has grown to £17 billion, only three of the MoD's 30 major military projects are on time and on budget and he has indeed agreed to a real funding cut in revenue spending over the next four years.
