Continental developing automated charging robots for EVs - Just Auto

Together with startup Volterio, Continental's development and production service provider Continental Engineering Services (CES) is developing an intelligent charging robot that it says will make filling up with electricity much easier and more convenient in the future.

CES and Volterio have now entered into a partnership that will see the latter develop the first near-production systems for the jointly designed charging robot by mid-2022. CES will then also develop the system to production maturity and ultimately take over the production of the charging robot.

Clouds of Smart Robots Swarm into Reality - Nextgov

Last year I wrote about how the government was developing and improving upon the fascinating science of drone swarms . Agencies were researching new areas to look for inspiration, like how swarms of bees interact with one another and then take coordinated action for the benefit of their hives.

In the rush to automate warehouses, forklifts are something of a no-brainer. Lifting heavy payloads already requires heavy machinery, and these systems are somewhat notorious for being involved in incidents, with tens of thousands of forklift accidents recorded in the U.S. alone each year.

The cleaning sector welcomes robots to disrupt its workforce - CTech

"When we talk about cleaning, the robot is doing two things," said Amnon Avi-Guy, the General Manager of Robotize and the Computer solutions Division at Mittwoch. "First of all, it saves money.

Avi-Guy and Mittwoch stress that the robots require little intervention from humans and are well and truly part of the "AMR" (Autonomous Mobile Robots) revolution. They can operate all day or night, every day of the year, and never require rest.

The Transformers Robots The Movies May Never Use | Screen Rant

Over the years, Transformers has introduced some questionable robots but there's one kind of bot that will never be used on-screen alongside the Autobots and Decepticons.

The McDonald's toys were not made in partnership with Hasbro, the toy company that produced the Transformers along with Japanese company Takara Tomy. Also known as McRobots, the toys were independently created for the McDonald's Happy Meal series and were made of a heavy plastic.
