Researchers from North Carolina State University and the University of Pennsylvania have developed soft robots that are capable of navigating complex environments, such as mazes, without input from humans or computer software.

Walmart is adding Symbotic robots to warehouses across the country – TechCrunch

The push behind the massive influx of warehouse robotics funding is largely driven by one entity: Amazon.

Massachusetts-based Symbotic has had considerably better luck.
