An asteroid flew past Earth from a blind spot at 14 miles a second

On July 25, 2019, astronomer  Luisa Fernanda Zambrano-Marin and her team at the Aricebo Observatory in Puerto Rico spotted a fast-traveling asteroid headed toward Earth.

Near-earth objects (NEOs) are comets or asteroids that come within a distance of 1.3 astronomical units (au) or the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

An Asteroid Skipping Like A Stone Over Water Left A Rich Legacy | IFLScience

The recent discovery of numerous lumps of metal-rich stones near Aletai, Xinjiang, puzzled geologists.

Returning space missions must carefully tune the angle at which they hit the atmosphere, the window famously made narrower for Apollo 13  due to damage to the heat shield.

With just the right entry angle, however, the asteroid could bounce off the atmosphere, losing some of its energy in the process. This would slow it down, leading to a subsequent entry a few hundred kilometers further along its path.

Climate scientists have lost their minds | The Spectator Australia

Forget about rescuing the medical profession. Australia has a generation of chief health officers and doctors who can't bring themselves to define a 'woman' for fear of the activist pitch-fork mob.

There is a consensus among this well-funded industry that the world is going to end in a fiery apocalypse unless something is done about 'carbon emissions'. With trillions of dollars being poured in over decades, surely they have come up with some brilliant solutions?
