A hacker claims to have stolen information from Neopets, the long-running virtual pet website, affecting 69 million users of the service.

DOJ seizes $500K from North Korean hackers who targeted healthcare | Healthcare IT News

The Justice Department announced a bit of a win this week in the ongoing battle against state-sponsored ransomware campaigns – clawing back about half a million in cryptocurrency that had been paid as ransom to North Korean hackers.

WHY IT MATTERS
According to the DOJ report, the FBI filed a sealed seizure warrant for the $500 million or so, include ransom payments from healthcare providers in Kansas and Colorado, this past May.

Hackers Target Ukrainian Software Company Using GoMet Backdoor

A large software development company whose software is used by different state entities in Ukraine was at the receiving end of an "uncommon" piece of malware, new research has found.

The malware, first observed on the morning of May 19, 2022, is a custom variant of the open source backdoor known as GoMet and is designed for maintaining persistent access to the network.

Hackers breach Ukrainian radio network to spread fake news about Zelenskiy

On Thursday, Ukrainian media group TAVR Media confirmed that it was hacked to spread fake news about President Zelenskiy being in critical condition and under intensive care.

According to the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSCIP), the network operates nine major Ukrainian radio stations, including Hit FM, Radio ROKS, KISS FM, Radio RELAX, Melody FM, Nashe Radio, Radio JAZZ, Classic Radio, and Radio Bayraktar.

Apex Legends Hackers Are Kicking Players From Lobbies

A bizarre new hack seems to be kicking players out of their Apex Legends matches and sending them straight to the game’s firing range.

Reports are surfacing online of Apex Legends players suddenly getting kicked from their match only to find themselves transported to the Firing Range. Twitch streamer Camms shared this footage on Twitter of her game, which went from the middle of intense combat to a loading screen.
