New Solar System Installation at Erie Trail – WKVI Information Center

Lucas said he had the idea while walking on the trail and noticed it was straight and open enough to demonstrate a model of the sun's solar system using signs for each planet and depicting both the size and distances of the solar system to scale.

The OSSIS installation depicts the planets of the Earth's solar system in a scale of 1:355 million over 10 miles of the Erie Trail segment of the American Discovery Trail in western Starke County.

The Oldest Planet In The Solar System Has Been Around 4 Billion Years Ago

launch space, On Wednesday (10/8/2022), the study’s lead author, Thomas Kruijer, revealed that Jupiter’s dense core formed long before the solar nebula’s gas disappeared. This is consistent with the original accretion model of giant planet formation.

He further explained, about 4.6 billion years ago, the Solar System consisted of a very large cloud of gas and dust. First the Sun was formed and then the planets were formed from the rest of the material moving around the newborn star in a large disk.

Moon rocks from Antarctica include tiny amounts of gas from Earth | Space

A new examination of six lunar meteorites found in Antarctica has revealed the first definitive proof that the moon inherited chemical elements from Earth's interior.

During doctoral research at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, Patrizia Will discovered traces of helium and neon — both noble gases, which rarely bond to other elements — in six lunar meteorites from NASA's Antarctic collection.
