Hackers steal crypto from Bitcoin ATMs by exploiting zero-day bug

Hackers have exploited a zero-day vulnerability in General Bytes Bitcoin ATM servers to steal cryptocurrency from customers.

Yesterday, BleepingComputer was contacted by a General Bytes customer who told us that hackers were stealing bitcoin from their ATMs.

Hackers hijack satellite to broadcast movies | The Independent

The feat was demonstrated at the Def Con hacking conference in Las Vegas over the weekend by the hacking collective Shadytel.

The group used a $300 piece of equipment called a Hack RF to connect with the Canadian Anik F1R satellite, which was operated by Telesat Canada before it became defunct.

Ukraine's state nuclear power company Energoatom said on Tuesday that Russian hackers had launched an "unprecedented" cyberattack on the company's official website.

The Russian hacktivist group People's Cyber Army, which claims to include more than 8,200 volunteer members, used 7.25 million bot accounts to flood Energoatom's website with junk traffic, making it unreachable.
