South Korea's First Space Launch to The Moon | Discovery

CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES - 2020/07/20: A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying South Korea's ANASIS-II military communications satellite launched from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Built in France by Airbus, this is South Korea's first military satellite.

South Korea is launching its first lunar probe to the moon on August 4th . The Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO) or Danuri, developed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is being launched to study moon carters, magnetic fields, and surface weathering.

ESA - Webb captures stellar gymnastics in the Cartwheel Galaxy

The Cartwheel Galaxy, a rare ring galaxy once shrouded in dust and mystery, has been unveiled by the imaging capabilities of the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope.

Webb has peered into the chaos of the Cartwheel Galaxy, revealing new details about star formation and the galaxy's central black hole. Webb's powerful infrared gaze produced this detailed image of the Cartwheel and two smaller companion galaxies against a backdrop of many other galaxies.

NASA scientist comes home to Leeward CC | University of Hawaiʻi System News

In a heartwarming homecoming, National Aeronautics and Space Administration ( NASA ) postdoctoral scientist Yukiko Yarnall met with students and faculty at Leeward Community College in June to share her research on interstellar and planetary ices and salts.

She first developed an interest in science while taking math and chemistry classes at Leeward CC , after enrolling in 2006.

Mayor Turner joins NASA to distribute free lunchboxes to children in Houston

HOUSTON – Mayor Sylvester Turner joined NASA Wednesday morning in distributing free Artemis Learning Lunchbox Kits to underserved families and youth in Houston, according to a release.

"These were developed during the pandemic to shrink the gap in education. Kiddos at home were struggling, teachers and parents didn't know how to enrich their education," said Frederic Bertley, President and CEO of the Center of Science and Industry (COSI).

Axiom Space will put New Zealand on International Space Station | Space

The country partnered with commercial research company Axiom Space on July 28 to fly experiments on future missions with the Houston-based company.
