Hackers on Thursday demanded US$10 million to stop leaking highly sensitive records stolen from a major Australian healthcare company, as they uploaded yet more intimate details about customers.

The hackers on Thursday uploaded a second batch of files to a dark web forum, with more sensitive details about hundreds of Medibank customers.

Google Pays Chrome Hackers $45,000, Releases High-Severity Update

This Chrome extension allows hackers to remotely seize PCs | Digital Trends

Malicious extensions on Google Chrome are being used by hackers remotely in an effort to steal sensitive information.

Security researchers at Zimperium have confirmed that Cloud9 infection rates have been detected in multiple regions around the world.

Multiple vulnerabilities are being exploited, Zimperium notes, including CVE-2019-11708 and CVE-2019-9810 in Firefox, CVE-2014-6332 and CVE-2016-0189 for Internet Explorer, and CVE-2016-7200 for Microsoft Edge.

Hackers Are Posting Australian Health Insurance Data on the Dark Web

The health conditions and personal details of hundreds of Medibank customers, which may even include prime minister Anthony Albanese, have been published to a blog on the dark web by a Russian ransomware group, after the private health insurer refused to pay ransom. 

The data was first dumped in the early hours of Wednesday morning, AEDT, along with a blog post where the alleged hackers said they were having trouble releasing the full load all at once, because the data was being stored in a “not very understandable format (tables dumps)”.
