The Turing test used to be the gold standard for proving machine intelligence. This generation of bots is racing past it.
Franz Broseph seemed like any other Diplomacy player to Claes de Graaff. The handle was a joke — the Austrian emperor Franz Joseph I reborn as an online bro — but that was the kind of humor that people who play Diplomacy tend to enjoy. The game is a classic, beloved by the likes of John F.
How fast-food robots are helping address the labor shortage
Struggling to find workers and eager to relieve staff from boring, repetitive tasks, fast-food restaurant chains are adding robots to their kitchens.
Using artificial intelligence, computer vision technology and a mechanical arm, Miso Robotics' Flippy 2 has been deployed to Chipotle , White Castle and Wing Zone . White Castle said it plans to add 100 Flippy robots to work the fry station at its restaurants nationwide.

Humanoid robots one step closer to M3GAN-style world domination
These “humanoid” robots are dancing their way into the future — and freaked-out humans are predicting apocalyptic world domination is surely on the horizon.
The latest video from the Boston Dynamics , an often-viral engineering and robotics company, shows the organization's newest humanoid — named Atlas — completing tasks and showing off its dancing, flipping and parkour skills.
Robots coming to Alexandria | News | tribstar.com
A student works with a cobot in a production lab. Similar artificial intelligence will be used by students in the Human-Centered Design class through Purdue Polytechnic Institute-Anderson.
Alexandria Community Schools, Purdue Polytechnic Institute, and D1 Mold and Tool are developing a school-to-work pipeline via a new dual credit class — Human-centered Design, or Tech 120 — which started earlier this month and will run until the end of the semester.
Book Review Who owns the robots? | Morning Star
ANALYSIS of the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tends to focus on the potential of the technology and neglect its inherent risks.
Robson's explanations of human cognition and psychobiological systems are accessible, and his claims about the prospects for machine learning are compelling. He makes a powerful case for the possibility that ASI will emulate multiple forms of human intelligence.

What are Autonomous Mobile Robots and Guided Vehicles?
Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are revolutionizing the face of modern industry. The most efficient AGVs and AMRs charge quickly, intermittently, and autonomously, exerting special demands on their connectors.
The first such vehicle was created in 1958 to transport groceries around a grocery store using an overhead wire. AGVs were first used at scale in the 1970s when Volvo, a car manufacturer, put a fleet of 280 of them to work in a ground-breaking non-synchronous production line. 1
The Industrial Robot Paradox
Let's take a closer look. Industrial robots were invented over 50 years ago. Robots are effectively used in mass production such as in the automotive and microelectronics industries. Their usage in other industries is still very limited, and there is a reason for this.
The adoption of new technologies definitely takes time. The learning curve is not simple, and the decision to invest large amounts of money is hard to make. But those are not the main reasons why industrial robots are not yet used in all types of manufacturing.
