It intrigues me to think about how people in what became the USA recognized the Big and Little Dippers as First Man, the star Polaris as the home fire and Cassiopeia as First Woman. Orion the Hunter is Long Sash who led his people to the west.

Izidoro, a Welch Postdoctoral Fellow at Rice's NASA-funded CLEVER Planets project, and co-authors used a supercomputer to simulate the first 50 million years of the development of planetary systems using a planetary migration model.
NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day 2 January 2023: Planet Parade on show-Watch | Tech News
The planets in our solar system are divided into two: Inner solar system, which consists of Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, and Outer solar system which includes Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day is a mesmerizing image of Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars visible from Earth after sunset. This phenomenon is called a Planet Parade and will occur today and it will be a stunning sight to see with Venus bearing near the horizon.
Moonshots, meteors and planets: Here are just a few things to look forward to in space in 2023 | ...
A lot happened in space news in 2022 — from the James Webb Space Telescope providing us with stunning images and data from exoplanets, to the first launch of the Artemis moon program, beautiful lunar eclipses and planet-viewing.
And it looks like the action will continue in 2023. Here are just some things to look forward to in space.
The First Exoplanet Discovery (Around a Very Non-Sunlike Star) | astrobites
First Author's Institution: Arecibo Observatory at the time, Penn State Astronomy & Astrophysics now
The number of discovered exoplanets reached an amazing milestone of 5,000 recently, but it was only 30 years ago that the first discovery was made.

The moon occults Uranus for most observers in North America on Jan. 1; Jan. 3, Mars is almost occulted – 0.5 degrees to the north. The moon is full Jan. 6. On the following day, one of the Gemini twins, Pollux, is 1.9 degrees north of Luna. Jan.
Mercury is gradually sliding in front of the sun until it reaches inferior conjunction Jan. 7, to reappear about mid-month in the eastern morning sky. Unfortunately, the ecliptic is close to the horizon during northern winter, so this apparition is best when viewed from the Southern Hemisphere.
Astronomers discovered over 200 new planets in 2022 | BGR
It has been an excellent year for astronomers. Not only did we get the first images from James Webb, but the space telescope also managed to capture some of the best space images of 2022 during its six months of work this year.
The quest to find another world like Earth has been ongoing for decades, but the technology and techniques we use to discover planets have constantly evolved.
A 3-Dimension Model of Volcanism Volatiles Contribution on Atmospheric Chemical Abundance of ...
The volcanism plays an important part in mass exchange circle to bring matter from core of planet to atmosphere.
Thus, it is a possible method to research the change of elements abundance in atmosphere by modeling the process of volatiles from volcanism get through and mix in atmosphere, which is the focused point of this article.
