The European Space Agency's Mars Express has captured stunning images of Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the Solar System revealing the dramatic surroundings and turbulent past of this Martian giant.
Olympus Mons, first identified by Nasa's Mariner 9 spacecraft in 1971, is a shield volcano towering at a height of 21.9 km, making it two and a half times taller than Mount Everest. It is the largest volcano in the entire Solar System.

When Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon, the campus of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, watched the moments with excitement and pride.
Around 1,500 people, including 1000-odd students, watched the Chandrayaan -3 landing on two huge LED walls erected in the campus. One was at an open-air theatre and the other at a students' multipurpose centre.
