Info from Licensor: “I (Nathan H.) stepped out on the deck in Lawton, Michigan just past midnight on 8-13-2020 and looked up at stars and spotted this one odd flickering saucerelliptical-shaped object in the sky in the west, (slightly north of west pointing of camera). It stayed in that area. Was not a plane, jet, or helicopter. Rapidly changing bright multiple colors were emitting from it. It didn’t make any sounds, that I could hear anyway.
Quite a lot has been going on:
No longer in the shadows, Pentagon's UFO unit will make some findings public - The
Despite Pentagon statements that it disbanded a once-covert program to investigate unidentified flying objects, the effort remains underway — renamed and tucked inside the Office of Naval Intelligence, where officials continue to study mystifying encounters between military pilots and unidentified aerial vehicles.
Pentagon officials will not discuss the program, which is not classified but deals with classified matters. Yet it appeared last month in a Senate committee report outlining spending on the nation's intelligence agencies for the coming year. The report said the program, the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force, was "to standardize collection and reporting" on sightings of unexplained aerial vehicles, and was to report at least some of its findings to the public every six months.

In late April, the Department of Defense released footage of Navy fighter pilots encountering something "unidentifiable." The black and white videos are grainy and show small objects flying across the in-flight cameras of Navy fighter pilots.
This footage had already been circulating on the internet. By releasing it, the Department of Defense confirmed the videos' authenticity —and that it didn't know what they showed.
Navy videos spark renewed interest in UFOs from enthusiasts and Congress - ABC News
This year's World UFO Day comes at a time of heightened interest in the decades-long search to solve the mystery of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) thanks to the Navy's recent declassification of videos that show what it called "unexplained aerial phenomena," but it's not just UFO enthusiasts who are excited.
The Navy declassified three previously leaked top-secret U.S. Navy videos in late April in an effort "to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that had been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos," said Susan Gough, a Pentagon spokesperson.
