Russia-backed hackers behind powerful new malware, UK and US say | Russia | The Guardian

A cyber report published by intelligence agencies in the UK and US on Wednesday has attributed insidious new malware to a notorious Russia-backed hacking group.

"In light of the crisis in Ukraine we are very concerned about this actor, who has surpassed all others we track in terms of the aggressive cyber-attacks and information operations they have conducted," he said.

Ransomware hackers are now going after supply chain companies — Quartz

Cybercriminals have started to target some of the world's biggest logistics companies at a precarious moment for supply chains.

Expeditors, a Seattle-based company that coordinates land, sea, and air shipments in over 300 locations around the world, was hacked on Feb. 20. The company shut down most of its IT network and said it has "limited ability to conduct operations.
