Geese-shaped metal ships, 'aliens' in a lightning storm and extraterrestrials surveying a Spitfire on an episode of Flog It - it may not be Roswell but Kent boasts the second highest number of UFO sightings in the country.
The most recent Ministry Of Defence data show the Garden of England's 30 reports was second only to London's 38 sightings after the Royal Air Force (RAF) shut down a 50-year-long investigation.

Earlier this week air cadet Alex Bridle reported seeing 'a bright orange light' over Billingshurst moving high and flashing before speeding up and disappearing.
"It looked way too fast and too bright to be any sort of satellite," he said. "It was a solid light for 10 seconds and then started getting lighter and brighter regularly. I watched it for about a minute. It came overhead and then disappeared. It was strange.

Is this the UFO spotted in skies around Horsham? | West Sussex County Times
Andre Figueira has released footage of the puzzling phenomenon after a friend told him of reports of unidentified flying objects witnessed in Billingshurs, Barns Green, Warnham and Rudgwick.
The sightings have baffled all who have seen them, including 31-year-old Andre who says he has spotted them a couple of times this year and has taken a couple of videos.
"In one of the videos, I pulled out my phone a little too late, and the light just disappeared but in the other one, you can see various lights materialising then going down slightly and disappearing."

Canadian UFO sightings down in 2019, but expected to rise amid coronavirus pandemic |
UFO sightings in Canada hit a 10-year low in 2019, but the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and exciting new celestial phenomena lead experts to suspect numbers will take off.
Since 1989, Winnipeg-based Ufology Research has compiled sightings of unexplained flying objects. Last year, there were 849 UFO sightings in Canada.
"Most of the cases that we receive are things like airplanes and planets and stars or, perhaps, a fireball or a satellite," said Canadian UFO Survey research co-ordinator Chris Rutkowski.
US Pentagon's UFO Unit to reveal odd, unexplained aerial vehicle sightings by navy intelligence
Despite Pentagon statements that it disbanded a once-covert program to investigate unidentified flying objects, the effort remains underway — renamed and tucked inside the Office of Naval Intelligence, where officials continue to study mystifying encounters between military pilots and unidentified aerial vehicles.
Pentagon officials will not discuss the program, which is not classified but deals with classified matters. Yet it appeared last month in a Senate committee report outlining spending on the nation's intelligence agencies for the coming year. The report said the program, the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force, was "to standardize collection and reporting" on sightings of unexplained aerial vehicles, and was to report at least some of its findings to the public every six months.
