How Artificial Intelligence and Robots are Changing the World?
Artificial intelligence and robotics are bringing drastic changes in the technological fields. Things we only imagined twenty years back have now become a reality. From automated systems at a manufacturing plant to self-serving robots in a restaurant, technology has evolved, driving humans together. In Today's world, AI and robots serve people as problem-solvers, companions, and first-responders.

When we talk about AI and robotics, they are not specific to a certain industry. Their adaptability has made them the favorites in all the industries and sectors you can name or think of. From gaming to defense, healthcare, automotive, fitness, education, retail, manufacturing, and whatnot. Online gambling, for example, is a billion-dollar industry, and online gambling platforms like True Blue Casino have already started using AI-based algorithms that control the outcome of the
Here Is What The Air Force's New Robot Dogs Are Actually Capable
Semi-autonomous quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles, or Q-UGV, made by Ghost Robotics, more popularly referred to as "robot dogs," have been making appearances in USAF exercises throughout 2020. Now, the 325th Security Forces Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida has been named as the first unit within the Department of Defense to adopt the robotic quadrupeds for regular operations.
While the idea of robotic dogs patrolling a major Air Force installation seems like a science fiction dream come true, it hasn't been exactly clear how these mechanized hounds would be put to use. To help us understand their real capabilities and why the U.S. military is interested in them, The War Zone spoke with Jiren Parikh, CEO and founder of Ghost Robotics, the robots' designer and manufacturer.
Following Hyundai acquisition, Boston Dynamics' CEO discusses the robotics pioneer's future
A lot can change in a year. Especially this year. For Boston Dynamics, the past 12 months have brought a number of radical changes traditionally not seen at 30-year-old businesses of its size. It's a list that includes the first new CEO in the company's history, wide availability of its first commercial product and, most recently, being acquired by its third owner in seven years.
Last week, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based robotics pioneer confirmed earlier rumors that it was being acquired by Hyundai. The South Korean tech giant will be taking an 80% stake in the company, leaving the other 20% or so to its former owner, Softbank Group. The deal, which values the 300-person company at $1.1 billion, is expected to close next June.

Robots help COVID-19 patients communicate with loved ones
PORTSMOUTH – One of the biggest challenges and heartbreaks of the coronavirus pandemic comes when a COVID infected person is, by necessity, cut off from their family.
Patients were already provided iPads on mobile stands to visit with family members virtually or to meet with their care team. Bringing these tablets into patient rooms required at least one staff member to enter the room in PPE.
This gave MacMartin her idea to develop a robot that could deliver the iPads-on-stands to patients' rooms on its own, greatly reducing the risk for exposure and preserving PPE.
'Chaotic' way to create insectlike gaits for robots: By using small networks of Rössler
Researchers in Japan and Italy are embracing chaos and nonlinear physics to create insectlike gaits for tiny robots -- complete with a locomotion controller to provide a brain-machine interface.
Biology and physics are permeated by universal phenomena fundamentally grounded in nonlinear physics, and it inspired the researchers' work.
In the journal Chaos , from AIP Publishing, the group describes using the Rössler system, a system of three nonlinear differential equations, as a building block for central pattern generators (CPGs) to control the gait of a robotic insect.
Innovation Award Winner 2020: Robots get "eyes" like humans - International Federation
FRANKFURT, Germany , Dec. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2020 Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Robotics & Automation (IERA) goes to Photoneo's high resolution MotionCam-3D. This 3D scanner captures quick moving objects and delivers the sharpest eyes in the world for industrial robots.
"The jury is pleased to announce the selection of Photoneo's Motion Cam-3D as the winner of the 16 th IERA Award," says Jury Chair Robert Ambrose from IEEE-RAS. "The award celebrates the combination of innovative concepts with entrepreneurial efforts to bring those ideas to market. This year's winner is a novel 3D imaging system merging the benefits of both stereo vision with structured light approaches to yield a fast and accurate perception system with applications in society and
"Robots and technology to change retail as we know it"
Dr Sanjit K. Roy, UWA Business School and Dr Gaganpreet Singh, Jindal Global University, look at a retail revolution that is under way, where robots are playing an increasingly important role.
This year has been extraordinary for many reasons but one of the most fascinating effects of COVID has been a technological retail revolution unlike anything we have seen before. As we approach the festive season, we are seeing this at play in full force, with robots being used to box, monitor inventory and deliver gifts at rapid speed, much faster than humans could in order to meet consumer demands.
