On April 28, the Pentagon gave believers in other-worldly phenomena some tantalizingly real pieces of evidence with the release of three short videos showing "unidentified aerial phenomena" - or UFOs. The Pentagon’s confirmation of the footage has stirred the interest in aliens and out-of-this world phenomena once again. Here are a few podcasts about aliens and UFOs to listen to.

Strange Creature Or UFO Filmed From Window Of Airplane | WBZ NewsRadio 1030
When traveling by air, you are sure to see some interesting sights out the plane's window. From land formations thousands of feet below to all different shapes of clouds in the air - perhaps even another plane in the distance. However, what one person filmed during a trip from Phoenix to Portland is unlike anything ever seen before.
It was reportedly shot last year but only got posted recently. The video shows two long, dark objects in the sky next to the plane. They have tails or tentacles that extend behind them, and at one they point seem to merge into one figure. The entity then flips around in the air before the video ends.
Pentagon releases three UFO videos taken by US navy pilots | World news | The Guardian
The Pentagon on Monday released three declassified videos that show US navy pilots encountering what appear to be unidentified flying objects.
"After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena," the statement said.
Pentagon releases UFO videos for the record - BBC News

The Pentagon said it wanted to "clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real".

After they were first leaked, some people claimed the videos showed alien unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
According to the New York Times, a clip from 2004 was filmed by two navy fighter pilots and shows a round object hovering above the water, about 100 miles (160 km) out into the Pacific Ocean.

Decoding Amazon Prime Video's indie sci-fi film The Vast of Night, and the politics of alien
The story is a straightforward one — two teenagers in 1950s Cayuga, New Mexico, a local RJ called Everett (Jake Horowitz) and a switchboard operator, Fay Crocker (Sierra McCormick), investigate the strange sounds coming over the radio /switchboard on a night where just about everybody's at the local high school, watching a basketball game. Fay and Everett have reasons to believe that the sounds might be coming from a UFO — the precursor to an alien invasion.
Three books on UFOs. - The Washington Post
UFO sightings happen in clusters. The same is true of books about UFOs. While clusters of UFO sightings are called "flaps," there is no similar term for clusters of UFO books. I propose calling them a "Sagan" (despite the risk of implying that there are billions and billions of them).
Scoles successfully navigates between otherizing (making people into bizarre, foreign objects) and going native (becoming one of the group observed). She is charitable, treating those she meets as rounded individuals full of hope and pain, not as a motley collection of rubes and charlatans to be mocked. Yet, she maintains her position as an outsider journalist making sense of the intricate stew of conspiracy theory, spectacle and kitsch.
Why do so many people become obsessed with UFOs and aliens? | New Scientist
SOME people spend an awful lot of time hunting down UFOs . For Sarah Scoles, author of They Are Already Here , it comes down to human curiosity and a drive to seek answers beyond our reach.
That isn’t what I expected. My introduction to unidentified flying objects was a pulp magazine called Flying Saucers from Other Worlds , which I read as a kid. Its editor Ray Palmer had recently changed the magazine’s …
Florida second most "haunted" state in UFO sightings, alien-activity
Florida is considered the second most "haunted" state because of its high number of UFO and alien-related-activity sightings, according to a recent study that used data from the National UFO Reporting Center in Washington .
* * *
With 6,693 sightings in Florida reported to the UFO center since 1998, it falls short only to California, with 13,767 incidents, the study said. Nevada, home to the infamous, alien-ridden Area 51, did not make the Top 10.
