Hackers are increasingly targeting small businesses: BlackBerry | IT World Canada News

Small businesses are an increasing focus of cyberattacks, BlackBerry warned in its latest annual threat report.

Threat actors owed their success in 2021 to a variety of factors, says the report.

Hackers leak details of nearly 100,000 ‘Freedom Convoy’ donors | TechRadar

Following a recent security lapse which saw the passports and driver's licenses of donors to GiveSendGo exposed online, the alternative crowdfunding site has once again fallen under attack.

This time though, the site was hacked and the names and personal details of over 92,000 donors to Canada's 'Freedom Convoy' were leaked online. While the database of 92,845 donors is no longer available om GiveSendGo, Vice managed to review a copy of the data to confirm its authenticity.

Hackers Steal Bitcoin, Crypto Worth $36 Million from Retirement Accounts - TheStreet

The incident took place on Feb. 8 when IRA Financial discovered "suspicious" activity that affected some customers relying on the Gemini Trust Co. crypto exchange.

IRA Financial, which offers self-directed retirement accounts, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company was focusing on investigating the security controls regarding the claims.
