By The Hebrew University of Jerusalem December 3, 2022 The authors' findings will make it possible for scientists to evaluate the atmospheres of many other planets efficiently without having to send a space crew to physically visit them.
Final frontier: rush to colonize planets | by Erman Akdogan | Dec, 2022 | DataDrivenInvestor
With the recent advances in technology, it might soon be possible for humanity to explore and colonize other planets. There are many reasons why we should colonize other planets.
First, by colonizing other planets, we can ensure the survival of our species in the event that something catastrophic happens to Earth.
Star Wars Shows Why Jedi Should Destroy Planets (Like the Empire)
The first time fans witnessed the Empire destroying a whole planet was in the first installment of the series itself: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope . In the film, Darth Vader has deduced that the planet Alderaan is one of the main worlds on which the Rebel Alliance operates.
In Star Wars: Revelations #1–written by Marc Guggenheim with art by Paul Fry, Salvador Larroca, Emma Kubert, and Justin Mason–Darth Vader is on Mustafar, standing in the presence of the Eye of Webbish Bog who is guiding Vader through the Force on a spiritual quest to see potential ...
10 Best Horror Movies Set On Different Planets
As genre mash-ups go, science fiction horror has to be one of the most successful. Locating the sum of all fears in the cold, harsh expanses of space is a recipe for success, one that some films have exploited far more than others. Confronting nightmares is hard enough on your own planet.
To clarify, the ten films here are films that are mostly or entirely set on another world - as opposed to in a space station or spaceship (in case you're wondering why Alien or Event Horizon are missing from this list).
A Gas Giant Exoplanet Has Been Discovered With Twice The Density of Earth : ScienceAlert
After taking measurements of a very young Jupiter-sized exoplanet named HD-114082b, scientists have found that its properties don't neatly match either of the two popular models of gas giant planet formation.
"Compared to currently accepted models, HD-114082b is about two to three times too dense for a young gas giant with only 15 million years of age," explains astrophysicist Olga Zakhozhay of the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Germany.

There are billions of planets in our galaxy, and billions of galaxies in the observable universe. Those numbers are impossible to picture, but NASA's newest space telescope is helping us see the universe's depths in unprecedented detail.
Dive in! Ancient Mars had enough water for a global ocean 300 meters deep
In it, scientist Josh Chamberlain attempts to warn the world of a coming flood, but he is ignored and forced to build a boat to survive the coming deluge like a modern day Noah.
In those early days, however, it was a rough time to be a burgeoning rocky planet.
Because Mars doesn't have active plate tectonics that recycle its surface features, the Martian crust preserves an ancient record of the planet's history in the sediment. Researchers analyzed the variability of chromium isotopes in 31 Martian meteorites to gain clues about the planet's past.
Mars in opposition: How to see December 2022 | BBC Science Focus Magazine
On a clear night, the vast skies can be strikingly beautiful. Just the act of looking up at the stars can get us involved with astronomy.
As Mars comes into opposition, Earth will lie directly between Mars and the Sun, and the Red Planet will remain in the sky above the horizon for most of the night, making it an excellent time to view, clouds permitting.
