Hackers Ran Amok Inside GoDaddy for Nearly 3 Years | WIRED

Discovering that hackers have had stealthy access to your corporate network for three years is bad enough.

Speaking of bogus investments, 24 percent of new crypto tokens that gained any value in 2022 were pump-and-dump schemes , according to new findings from the cryptocurrency-tracing firm Chainalysis.

GoDaddy: Hackers stole source code, installed malware in multi-year breach

While GoDaddy discovered the security breach following customer reports in early December 2022 that their sites were being used to redirect to random domains, the attackers had access to the company's network for multiple years.

"Based on our investigation, we believe these incidents are part of a multi-year campaign by a sophisticated threat actor group that, among other things, installed malware on our systems and obtained pieces of code related to some services within GoDaddy," the hosting firm  said in an SEC ...

Russian hackers target NATO sites with DDoS attack

Jens Stolberg, secretary general of NATO, said that protective measures had been deployed in response to the attack.

Stolberg noted that NATO’s classified networks, which are used to communicate within its command structure and on active missions, were not affected by the DDoS attack.

Hackers Use 'Emergency Withdraw' Flaw to Raid Platypus - The Defiant

The incident decimated confidence in the Platypus ecosystem as its stablecoin USP sunk to $0.475 after shedding more than half of its value in a day. Platypus' PTP token also lost a quarter of its value in 24 hours.

"This is a bad look for USP auditors, who should have caught this relatively trivial bug," tweeted Demirelo, a web3 investor and influencer.
