Aliens in the Hudson Valley?

From a flying orange orb seen in the skies over Pine Bush on Christmas Day 2012, to a bright light with rapid-cycling colored lights spotted overhead on August 19, 2019, Pine Bush in the Hudson Valley town of Crawford has been a hotbed of reported UFO sightings for decades, according to the National UFO Reporting Center and others.

“At first, it sounded so outlandish! But as time went on, I heard similar stories from people I knew and respected and it all began to sound pretty fascinating,” she recently recalled.

'Aliens are coming': Alberta RCMP 911 dispatchers fielding calls about UFO sightings | CTV News

A worker takes a 911 call at the RCMP F Division Operational Communication Command Centre on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, in Regina, Sask. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Troy Fleece

CALGARY -- A blinding flash of light, something unidentified overhead or aliens at the door. Somewhere the truth is out there.

Canadians appear to be seeing more "out there" while scanning the night skies in increasing numbers. The COVID-19 pandemic has people spending more time outdoors, which has led to a growing interest in astronomy and unusual calls to RCMP 911 dispatchers.

Deputy never claimed to know what he saw outside of Stephen, Minn.

WARREN, Minn. -- Whatever you believe happened the night of Aug. 27, 1979, one thing is certain: Val Johnson's police cruiser hit something .

In the moments after the Marshall County Sheriff's deputy awoke in his car in the middle of the night on a dark road, the front of his vehicle bearing obvious damage, that was the only thing he knew for certain, too.

"I don't know what happened," he said over the radio to a county dispatcher while he waited for an ambulance. "Something hit me."

Book review: IU grad's UFO novel frightens, enlightens | Springs Valley Herald | hoosiertimes.com

Aliens jab their spaceship's light beams into the guts of the Hoosier National Forest as they hunt for two southern Indiana roofers. The roofers, skilled in camouflage and drenched in canned deer-scent, have much to fear.

And so did I as I read Gregg McManus' science fiction novel "The Bug Light Room," a double story about alien attackers and government officials.

Because much of the story occurs in Hoosier National Forest and near Ind. 37 and French Lick, I trembled as I turned pages, able to imagine exactly where the terrified, deer-scent-covered men were hiding.

Sally Ride's Enduring Legacy - Scientific American

The U.S. Mint recently announced the first two women who will be honored on quarters as part of a program to celebrate American women’s achievements: the writer, poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou and Sally Ride, a “trailblazing astronaut,” as the agency correctly described her.

The dot-com boom had brought high hopes that internet start-ups could prove their financial mettle and undertake successful public stock offerings, but as that boom neared its tail end, pressure to generate Web traffic and advertising revenue was high. Dobbs was a notoriously difficult boss, contributing to the heated atmosphere.

Pentagon Confirms UFO Program as Harry Reid's Role Becomes Clearer

Let us pause for a moment and gaze at the wonder that is CBS News quoting something called Mystery Wire. But there’s much more to marvel at in the story itself. The ice is starting to crack on the subject of strange lights in the sky.

The piece talks about a $22 million entry that Reid shepherded through the Pentagon’s so-called “black budget” that Reid said was used to study UFOs.
