Riot Games says it lost the source code to the multiplayer title League of Legends after hackers breached its internal systems last week.
The hackers also stole the source code to another game, TeamFight Tactics (TFT), and the computer code for a “legacy anticheat platform,” Riot Games revealed (Opens in a new window) on Twitter today.

As evidence, the hackers provided Riot Games with two large PDFs they said would prove they had access to Packman and the League of Legends source code. Motherboard also obtained these files; they appear to show directories related to the game’s code.

The FBI also said that the North Korean cyber actors this month used the Railgun system to launder over $60 million worth of the token ether stolen during the June 2022 heist. Railgun is a system designed to help preserve the anonymity of people moving cryptocurrency.
A portion of the stolen ether was sent to several virtual asset service providers and converted to bitcoin, the FBI said.

A Chinese-speaking hacking group tracked as ‘DragonSpark’ was observed employing Golang source code interpretation to evade detection while launching espionage attacks against organizations in East Asia.
The attacks are tracked by SentinelLabs , whose researchers report that DragonSpark relies on a little-known open-source tool called SparkRAT to steal sensitive data from compromised systems, execute commands, perform lateral network movement, and more.

LastPass’ parent company GoTo — formerly LogMeIn — has confirmed that cybercriminals stole customers' encrypted backups during a recent breach of its systems.
The breach was first confirmed by LastPass on November 30. At the time, LastPass chief executive Karim Toubba said an "unauthorized party" had gained access to some customers' information stored in a third-party cloud service shared by LastPass and GoTo.
