(CNN) Much like stars and planets, black holes also fall into different categories. Astronomers have now spotted a record-breaking heavyweight black hole at the center of a galaxy known as Holm 15A. The black hole weighs 40 billion times the mass of our sun.

Astronomers just spotted a black hole more massive than any in our cosmic neighborhood – BGR
Of all the objects astronomers have observed in space over centuries of scientific investigation, black holes are one of the most bizarre and mysterious.
It’s located at the heart of a galaxy cluster known as Abell 85. The cluster is made up of hundreds of individual galaxies, but they’re all centered around a black hole so incredibly large that it would take 40 billion stars the size of our Sun to match its mass.

Sorry Science Fans, Discovering A 70-Solar-Mass Black Hole Is Routine, Not Impossible
When a black hole and a companion star orbit one another, the star's motion will change over time ... [+] owing to the gravitational influence of the black hole, while matter from the star can accrete onto the black hole, resulting in X-ray and radio emissions. Recently, a 70 solar mass black hole was found fitting this scenario, the highest stellar mass black hole ever discovered like this. But this was a relief for astronomers, not a surprise!
While numerous black holes and even black hole pairs have been detected, we'd have to wait millions ... [+] of years for any of the ones we've identified so far to actually merge.
How to reach the Black Hole Forge in Outer Wilds - Polygon
In Outer Wilds , after practicing a bit with the Ash Twin Towers while reaching the Sun Station , you'll now understand how to reach the Black Hole Forge that we first learned about way back on Brittle Hollow .

While you can warp near the Black Hole Forge from the Ash Twin Towers at any point, you won't be able to get inside unless you return to the Hanging City first.
Head to the Northern Glacier of Brittle Hollow . Follow the same path down through the ice that we did before when we returned from the White Hole Station.

Black Hole warning: How magnetic fields discovery gives insight into biggest space mystery |
They discovered that as electrons are sucked in to a black hole, the magnetic turbulence surrounding the black hole causes chaos.
The swirling and shoving of the gravitational pull of the electrons creates a tremendous magnetic field which can generate huge energetic waves of radiation.
Everything is sloshed together to create a heated frenzy which can channel materials into jets which eject light millions of light-years into space.

The Appearance of a Black Hole's Shadow - Sky & Telescope
In April of this year, the Event Horizon Telescope captured the first detailed images of the shadow of a black hole. In a new study, a team of scientists has now explored what determines the size and shape of black hole shadows like this one.

Black Hole Factories May Hide at Cores of Giant Galaxies - Scientific American
In 2015, when scientists, for the first time ever, directly detected gravitational waves—ripples in spacetime—from colliding black holes, the result came as a shock to some astronomers. Based on previous studies of black holes using x-rays, many experts expected each member of a merging pair would typically weigh about 10 times the sun’s mass, but the 2015 merger featured twin giants three times that heavy.
Black holes can certainly get supermassive—leviathans weighing billions of suns lurk at the hearts of most large galaxies. The question is: How could they grow so huge? Much of their bulk must be acquired after birth as they feast on gas and stars, but some theories suggest that mergers or chains of mergers may form a supermassive black hole’s initial seed.
